separate town in 1768, and named Seabrook after the Seabrook
River. The boundary between Hampton and Seabrook was subject
to periodic dispute for nearly two centuries, and was
finally settled by court decision in 1953. Seabrook is now
home to the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant, itself source of
much dispute and controversy |
